I've had to transfer a domain off of 1and1 (to 123-Reg) a few years ago because 1and1 wouldn't let me setup a catchall sub-domain and I was reluctant to host the name servers myself. The process of moving the domain was very painful. 1and1 offer very little help docs themselves, I had to find ones from another registrar in the end and even then it didn't quite make sense. Do you know if they've made this any easier now as I still have two domains sitting on there which I would like to move eventually.

now that ive got them working i'm leaving them where they are. no point in having to pay for another years registration now i've got the name server point to right place (at last)
ive not picked a new registrar to try next time around.... but it won't be 1and1  | |
